DESCRIPTION:Animating Life (12-15 yrs)\nwith Arijit Debnath\n\nWednesdays 1-4 pm and Sundays 3-6 pm / July 27 – August 28\n\nBy joining this workshop\, young students will embark on an exciting introduction to the world of independent animation. Students will be provided a brief overview of animation principles and the step-by-step process of animating with simple DIY setups. By the end of the workshop students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to make simple animations by being resourceful and creative\, using only a smartphone to capture images\, and everyday materials such as newspapers\, fabrics\, and even food to animate with. Each workshop will consist of short demonstrations and studio time where students will be given space to follow their curiosities. Les élèves auront un bref aperçu des principes de l’animation et du processus d’animation étape par étape à l’aide de configurations DIY simples. À la fin de l’atelier\, les élèves auront acquis les compétences et les connaissances nécessaires pour réaliser des animations simples en faisant preuve d’ingéniosité et de créativité\, en utilisant uniquement un cellulaire pour capter des images et des matériaux de tous les jours tels que des journaux\, des tissus et même de la nourriture pour créer des animations. DESCRIPTION:Mending Matters\nwith mea bissett and selina latour / by donation\n\nWednesdays – BIWEEKLY 6:30 – 8:30 PM / Starting July 6\, 20\, August 3\,17\, 31\n\nSaturdays – BIWEEKLY 1-4 PM / Starting July 16\, 30\, August 13\, 27\, September 10\n\nIn the practical sense\, mending is the action of repairing (either by sewing\, felting\, patching or darning) a used item of clothing to prolong its life or restore it to a usable state. Meet-ups will take place weekly between July-September in the neighbourhood of Pointe-Saint Charles\, always starting and ending at the B7. Each session will be led by artists and educators mea bissett and/or selina latour.  Most materials will be provided\, some will be sourced along the way.\n\nQuestion de réparation\navec mea bissett and selina latour / par donation\n\nLes mercredis – Á chaque 2 semaines 18h30 – 20h30 / 6 et 20 juillet\, 3\, 17 et 31 août\nLes samedis – Á chaque 2 semaines 13h à 16h /  16 et 30 juillet\, 13 et 27 août\, 10 septembre\n\nAu sens pratique\, le raccommodage est l’action de réparer (soit par couture\, feutrage\, rapiéçage ou reprisage) un vêtement usagé afin de prolonger sa durée de vie ou de le remettre dans un état utilisable. Les rencontres auront lieu chaque semaine entre juillet et septembre dans le quartier de Pointe-Saint-Charles\, toujours avec un départ et une arrivée au B7. Chaque session sera animée par les artistes et éducateurs mea bissett et/ou selina latour.  La plupart des matériaux seront fournis\, certains seront trouvés en cours de route.
