DESCRIPTION:Inscrivez votre ado à notre cours d’été avant le 25 juin ! / Register your teen for our summer course before June 25!\n\nThe Pointe-Saint-Charles Art School is pleased to offer the Wearable Art Summer Camp for a second year. Participants will create wearable garments from recycled materials and explore the ways that they can rework old garments to limit fashion waste. All participants are asked to bring in clothing that is no longer worn due to wear\, sizing or style. Throughout the week\, participants will learn basic sewing techniques to aid in customizing and reconstructing clothing. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore DIY techniques to rework their old clothing into something new and loved\, including DIY silk-screening and stitching and patchwork. \n\nThe wearable art camp will host two guest artists\, who will share inventive ways of upcycling clothing to limit waste:\n– Braden Quinn\, the creator of the clothing brand tapes world.\n– Kimiko Hawkes\, a painter\, illustrator and textile artist.\n\nMaximum of 12 participants. Registration will close when the class is full.\n\n///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////\n\nL’école d’art de Pointe-St-Charles est heureuse d’offrir le camp d’été d’art portable pour une deuxième année. Les participants créeront des vêtements portables à partir de matériaux recyclés et exploreront les façons dont ils peuvent retravailler de vieux vêtements pour limiter les déchets de la mode. Tous les participants sont invités à apporter des vêtements qu’ils ne portent plus en raison de leur usure\, de leur taille ou de leur style. Tout au long de la semaine\, les participants apprendront les techniques de couture de base pour aider à personnaliser et à reconstruire les vêtements.
