Le samedi 23 août prochain\, dès 17h\, quelques camarades musicien-nes de la communauté brésilienne nous offriront des heures de leur répertoire de cette musique de rue festive.\n\n \n\nAu Brésil\, les gens se rassemblent dans les parcs et fêtent autour de cercles de musicien-nes qui improvisent sur des thèmes de samba pendant quelques heures; c’est ce qu’on appelle une Roda de samba!\n\n \n\n–\n\n \n\nCome and experience a Roda de samba! On Saturday\, August 23rd\, starting at 5 p.m.\, a few fellow musicians from the Brazilian community will offer us hours of their repertoire of this festive street music.\n\n \n\nIn Brazil\, people gather in parks and celebrate around circles of musicians who improvise on samba themes for a few hours; this is what we call a Roda de samba!

Né et élevé en Ukraine\, il a déménagé à New York en 2015 pour commencer ses études en jazz à la New School. En 2021\, Nick s’est installé à Montréal pour poursuivre ses études à l’Université McGill. Depuis\, il s’est produit à Dièse Onze\, Upstairs\, etc.\n\n \n\n—\n\n \n\nJazz Thursdays are an opportunity to enjoy a cozy and friendly atmosphere at the tavern in the company of talented local musicians. Let yourself be carried away by the rhythmic melodies of the Nick Semenykhin Trio for the time of a drink or an evening!\n\n \n\nNick Semenykhin is a jazz guitarist\, composer and arranger who is making an impact on the scene of Montreal. Born and raised in Ukraine\, he moved to New York in 2015 to start his studies in jazz at The New School. In 2021\, Nick moved to Montreal to continue his studies at McGill University. Since then\, he has performed at Dièse Onze\, Upstairs\, etc.
