DESCRIPTION:Pour son premier vernissage\, William Poulin présentera une variété d’œuvres créées au fil des dernières années ; touchant plusieurs médiums\, l’exposition inclura une sélection de collages à petite échelle et de plus grandes toiles peintes à l’acrylique. S’inspirant principalement des peintres américains expressionnistes\, tels que De Kooning et Franz Kline\, le tout présentera un univers abstrait et palpablement vivant.\n\nEn plus de cette sélection de collages et de toiles\, il présentera aussi une sélection de photos\, toutes prises sur pellicule de 35mm\, ayant comme sujet principal l’Amérique tel qu’elle est et tel quel a déjà été. Une Amérique rurale disparaissant\, évoquant une nostalgie pour une époque que le photographe n’a pourtant jamais connue.\n\nWilliam Poulin est aussi ingénieur de son\, musicien et producteur. Fondateur du studio Service d’Enregistrement Sud-Ouest et de la maison de disque Baby Horse Records\, il contribue depuis plusieurs années maintenant à la scène de musique locale ayant enregistré et produit plusieurs artistes d’ici incluant Bluebird\, Frisco Lee\, Erik Fines\, Museums\, Duff Thompson et plus.\n\n—\n\nFor his first exhibition\, William Poulin will present a variety of works created over the past few years. Covering several mediums\, the exhibition will include a selection of small-scale collages and larger acrylic paintings. Inspired mainly by American expressionist painters such as De Kooning and Franz Kline\, the works will present an abstract and palpably vibrant universe.\n\nIn addition to this selection of collages and canvases\, he will also present a selection of photographs\, all taken on 35mm film\, with the main subject being America as it is and as it once was. A disappearing rural America\, evoking nostalgia for a time that the photographer has never known.\n\nWilliam Poulin is also a sound engineer\, musician\, and producer. Founder of the Service d’Enregistrement Sud-Ouest studio and the Baby Horse Records label\, he has been contributing to the local music scene for several years now\, recording and producing several local artists including Bluebird\, Frisco Lee\, Erik Fines\, Museums\, Duff Thompson\, and more.

DESCRIPTION:Tu as déjà voulu essayer de développer tes photos argentiques ? Que dirais-tu de les imprimer dans une chambre noire traditionnelle ? C’est désormais possible !\n\nScott te propose un cours d’accréditation pour la chambre noire pour une petit groupe de 2 personnes.\nAprès ce cours\, tu te sentiras à l’aise pour utiliser la chambre noire de manière autonome et ainsi réserver l’espace pour créer tes projets en solo.\n \n\nDurée du cours :\n\n6 heures en deux temps :\n\n2h le samedi de 10h30 à 12H30\n\nET\n\n4H le dimanche de 10h30 à 14H30\n\n \n\nPetit groupe de 2 personnes maximum.\n\nA qui s’adresse ce cours ?\n\nPour toute personne intéressée par la photographie et souhaitant s’initier à la photographie argentique traditionnelle.\n\nÂge minimum : 18 ans\n\nConditions préalables : Aucun\n\nMatériel à apporter :\n\nUne bobine exposée de film noir et blanc 35 mm.\n\nSi vous n’avez pas d’appareil photo à pellicule\, un appareil photo Holga 35 mm à point et clic peut vous être prêté. Vous devez vous renseigner sur l’utilisation de l’appareil au moins une semaine avant le cours. Now you can!  Scott offers you an accrediting course for the darkroom\n\nDuration:\n\n3 hours in two parts:\n\n1h30 on Saturday from 10h30 to noon\n\nAND\n\n1h30 on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to noon\n\n \n\nSmall group of 2 people maximum.\n\n \n\nWho is this course for?\n\nFor anyone with an interest in photography and would like to learn about traditional film photography.\n\nMinimum age : 18 yo\n\nPrerequisites : None\n\n \n\nEquipment you need to bring :\n\n 	One exposed roll of 35mm black and white film.\n\nIf you do not have a film camera\, a 35mm Holga point-and-click film camera can be loaned to you. You must inquire about using the camera at least one week before the class.
