Cet atelier d’introduction vous guidera à travers toutes les étapes nécessaires pour créer de magnifiques photogrammes sur tissu. De l’application de la solution photosensible à l’exposition et au développement des tirages\, vous repartirez avec votre propre création unique: un tissu cyanotypé fait avec du coton bio à multiples usages!\n\n*PRÉREQUIS ? Aucun prérequis nécessaire!\nMATÉRIEL ? Tout le matériel nécessaire à la formation est fourni. Je tente de créer des images qui ne se laissent pas saisir d’un seul regard\, des images qui incitent à douter\, à questionner\, à ralentir\, à ressentir autrement.\nPour moi\, la photographie n’est pas quelque chose de figé\, mais plutôt un espace de possibles\, modifiable à l’infini\, preuve que le visible n’est pas évidence ».

The artist invites us into their world of therapeutic and cathartic arts\, bringing images to bear on visceral emotions. This exhibition traces a journey toward healing from 2018 to the present.\nAt the opening\, 𝖬Ö𝖱𝖦𝖹 invites us to name their works\, creating an interactive sharing of emotions and personal interpretations.\nCome see them on Friday\, October 3rd at 5 p.m.\nThe works will be displayed throughout the month of October.

Fondateur du studio Service d’Enregistrement Sud-Ouest et de la maison de disque Baby Horse Records\, il contribue depuis plusieurs années maintenant à la scène de musique locale ayant enregistré et produit plusieurs artistes d’ici incluant Bluebird\, Frisco Lee\, Erik Fines\, Museums\, Duff Thompson et plus.\n\n—\n\nFor his first exhibition\, William Poulin will present a variety of works created over the past few years. Covering several mediums\, the exhibition will include a selection of small-scale collages and larger acrylic paintings. Inspired mainly by American expressionist painters such as De Kooning and Franz Kline\, the works will present an abstract and palpably vibrant universe.\n\nIn addition to this selection of collages and canvases\, he will also present a selection of photographs\, all taken on 35mm film\, with the main subject being America as it is and as it once was. A disappearing rural America\, evoking nostalgia for a time that the photographer has never known.\n\nWilliam Poulin is also a sound engineer\, musician\, and producer. Founder of the Service d’Enregistrement Sud-Ouest studio and the Baby Horse Records label\, he has been contributing to the local music scene for several years now\, recording and producing several local artists including Bluebird\, Frisco Lee\, Erik Fines\, Museums\, Duff Thompson\, and more.

L’esthétique et l’art des pochettes d’albums punks ont fortement inspiré ses œuvres\, mais les mouvements tels que Dada et l’anarchisme ont\, eux\, forgé ses idées. Collages\, montages et assemblages sont au centre de sa création\, comme le patchwork d’éléments qui forment un regard critique envers une société où le paysage mondial dépérit rapidement. L’exposition compile les derniers travaux de l’artiste\, marqués par une époque où les changements climatiques et les politiques violentes d’hommes hargneux menacent l’intégrité du vivant.\n\n–\n\nFor painter and sculptor Tournesol Plante\, his greatest influences come from underground culture. The aesthetics and artworks of punk album covers have strongly inspired his work\, but movements such as Dada and anarchism have also shaped his ideas. Collages\, montages and assemblages are at the heart of his work\, as a patchwork of elements that form a critical look at a society where the global landscape is rapidly withering away. The exhibition compiles the artist’s latest works\, marked by a time when climate change and the violent policies of angry men threaten the integrity of the living.
