A lively, multi-purpose and luminous venue!
Grand Atelier is a 1400 sq. ft. room with a bright, industrial feel. It can accommodate all kinds of events, from birthday parties and assemblies to meetings and film screenings.
In 2022, we have collectively decided to turn the Grand Atelier into an event space for the activities of our occupant projects and active members, and also open to the community.

Grand Atelier includes a small room with a library, often used for a quiet space, a children’s area, or a snack area.
The space is heated in winter, but does not have air conditioning in the summer.
A kitchenette shared with other Bâtiment 7 projects is available during rentals.

Prices do not include taxes and are subject to change without notice.

Please note: We require a minimum reservation of 4 hours during time slot B, and 3 hours during time slot A.
You must reserve all the time you need to be present in the space, including set-up and take down. It is not possible to access the space or store materials before the beginning of your reservation.

You must reserve and pay for the time you require for setup and takedown.
We require a minimum reservation of 4 hours for Time Slot B and 3 hours for Time Slot A.
Reservations extending past 2am are subject to staff availability and are billed at $100 per hour starting from 2:00 am.

Accessibility
Reduced mobility: Building 7 is located 100 m from the sidewalk, and the Grand Atelier is on the upper floor. There is a ramp and a passageway that leads to the main door with no steps. The main door has an automated opening function. There is an elevator (freight lift) to the second floor which can be used accompanied by a member or staff who can guide you on how to use it. There are toilets on each floor designed for those with limited mobility. Please note however that once inside the building there are no automatic doors, and we are not universally accessible. Some people may therefore need to be accompanied from the sidewalk to the room. Please plan for people to support those with limited mobility, and inform us of accessibility needs in advance whenever possible.
All bathrooms at Bâtiment 7 are gender-neutral.
Parking
Bâtiment 7 does not have a parking lot. Visitors will have to find parking on nearby streets. We do, however, have a drop-off point where you can drop off people or material near the building and then return to the street to park.
Liquor license
For our space which holds less than 200 people, if your event is private (invitation only for specific audience, such as members of an organization or a family), then you won’t need a permit if you serve or share alcoholic beverages.
If your event is open to the public (ticketing and/or public announcement open to all), then you’ll need to apply for a permit, whether to serve or sell alcohol.
Event organizers must apply and pay for their own liquor license at least 15 days before the event.
Local-brewed beers for your event
You may bring your own alcoholic beverages. However, if you’d like to purchase alcohol on site, the Sans-taverne brewing cooperative offers a beer sales service tailored to your needs. Contact them for more information: ventes@sans-taverne.coop
Food
You can bring your own food or hire an outside caterer.

Kids birthday parties
You can reserve our room for children’s parties!

Noise & closing times
Generally speaking, it’s fine to make noise in the Grand Atelier, as long as the windows are closed by 11:00 p.m. After that time, please also make sure your guests remain quiet outside.
We are unable to provide a completely silent space suitable for audio or video recording.
