Le Détour is a self-managed, non-profit neighbourhood grocery store with a mission to: + provide healthy and varied food choices to its members as well as to the general public at the best possible cost; + counter the food desert in the southern part of Pointe-Saint-Charles; + develop knowledge critical of the food sector with the purpose of individual and collective appropriation of our right to healthy foods.
Over 75% of the store’s operational tasks are executed by the worker-members. This allows for reducing the cost of foodstuffs while paying the producer a fair price. To get involved, attend the next information session.
